Grant or Jack Sparrow

Doesn't Grant look so grown up in these pictures?? Maybe it is because of the Pirates of the Caribbean hat!
I have been running around like a crazy woman trying to get everything ready for China. I have so much stuff to do and time is ticking away.
I will leave my itinerary on my next post.

Another Superhero!!!

This is Matt S, isn't he a cutie!!! He is one of Grant's first cousins and is also known as a Superhero. Matt is 19 years old and Grant just looks up to him and idolizes him. Matt is also the type of guy who takes the time to play with Grant and even attend one of Grants T-ball games. I know that when Doug and I are in China, Matt and his sister Jessica will keep Grant busy and occupied.

Ready For Lily

All weekend long Doug and I dedicated ourselves in getting the nursery prepared for Lily's arrival. Since Grant moved into a big boy bed the nursery has been used as a storage room for the past 2 years. There was a lot of work to be done---dusting, organizing, shampooing carpets and setting up the crib. This room is very, very special to me!! When Doug and I found out that we were expecting Grant back in October 2001, he immediately went to work creating the perfect Noah's Arc theme room. My husband sat down and sketched each animal on paper and then free handed drew and painted each animal walking into the arc. To this day every time I walk into the nursery it takes my breath away--Doug's love for his children and talent is proudly displayed in this room.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN

This is birthday boy John holding Grant.
We call John the Super Hero, simply because in my son's eyes he is a Super Hero!!!
John truly enjoys spending time with Grant, no matter if its wrestling, playing baseball or soccer or even just sitting on the floor building legos or playing Power Rangers. If Grant does not see John after a certain amount of time he will ask for him and John will always take time out of his busy life to spend quality time with him. How many young 21 year old guys would do that???

DOG---The Other White Meat

Allow me to introduce John!!! He is crazy and we love him. This past Sunday we helped celebrate his 21st birthday with a good 'ol backyard birthday party. John entertained all of us by shoving this dogs whole head in his mouth. Don't worry no animals were harmed in the making of this photo. As a matter of fact, I think Daisy liked having her head in his mouth!!!

Love That Pizza

Here is a picture of Grant munching on his favorite food, Pizza. That kid can easily put away up to 3 to 4 slices of pizza in one sitting. Good thing he likes pizza especially since his mom is not much of a cook.

Our Dog Ringo

Let me introduce Ringo!!! I know what you are thinking "What is up with that crazy blue eye"
Ringo joined our family June 2001 and has been the best dog ever. He is so sweet, great with kids and a wonderful Frisbee catcher! However, Ringo has been diagnosed with 2 lumbar disc hernias so therefore his Frisbee catching days are definitely slowing down. That is OK---we still love him.

I had the honor of attending a Cardinal Baseball game with my good friend Megan and her son Alec and my son Grant. We had an absolute blast even though the Cards lost, however it was my first time seeing the new stadium.
