When I started this blog at the end of March, I was anticipating receiving my referral at the beginning of April. However when the latest batch of referrals were released the CCAA (chinese children adoption agency) only released 2 days worth of babies. Our LID is 11/02/05 now China is up to 10/26/05. So what does that mean??? Basically I could get my referral at the beginning of May or June, so close yet so far away.
To be honest I was devastated about not receiving a picture of my baby, I cried and threw a good ol temper tantrum just like a 2 year old. But then I had to pick myself up and move on, besides I have a 4 1/2 year old that I have to be there for. I made a decision not to talk about adoption, not to check all the rumor sites and not dwell on adoption 24 hours a day. I just really needed a break from the whole thing. I also decided to really focus on all the blessings I have in my life.
Hopefully I will be receiving my referral soon but untill then I will blog about my current blessings such as my husband Doug, my son Grant, my dogs and my family and even my crazy work family. So stay tuned crazy stories will be coming.

Go for it. Although, as of 04/30/07 CHI announced they had referrals up through 11/01/05. So you guys are up next batch!
